Why this site exists
Search for a position size calculator and you will find dozens of well-made tools. Almost all of them are built for foreign exchange. They ask for a currency pair and a stop in pips, they assume a standard lot of 100,000 units, and they return a lot size. That model is internally consistent and completely inapplicable to futures, where the smallest price increment is set per contract, the multiplier is set per product, and the margin requirement is published by an exchange rather than offered as a leverage ratio by a broker.
The practical consequence is that futures traders either do the arithmetic by hand or use a forex tool with inputs that do not quite fit. This site is the tool that should have existed: it asks for the multiplier, the tick size and the margin per contract, because those are the numbers that determine the answer.
What these calculators do and do not do
They perform arithmetic on numbers you supply. They do not recommend instruments, directions or price levels. They are not connected to a broker or an exchange, they do not read your positions, and they will not tell you whether a trade is a good idea. Every number you see is the output of a formula that is written out in full on the page, so you can check it against the exchange specification yourself.
Privacy by construction
All calculations run locally in your browser. There is no account system, no server-side processing of your inputs, and no tracking of the values you enter. You can load a page, disconnect from the network, and every tool continues to work. Given that these tools take your account size and your trade history as inputs, that is the only defensible design.
Corrections
Contract specifications change and formulas can be transcribed incorrectly. If a number on this site disagrees with your exchange's contract specification page, the exchange is right. Reports of errors are welcome at 185423201@qq.com.
